What a great day! Thank you to all that could attend and make the day so special. It was a great day. We may be miles away from our biological famlies, but our Hamilton famlies made it great!! I don't know what we would do without them. They have all been here for us, always here to help us, and make sure we are taken care of. I thank everyone. It means so much to us.
Also, Aunt Sal came from St. Kits!! I am so happy she made the drive! This also means so much to me. It is so great that she was able to attend, and found the drive very easy! It was so great to see her today!
I know this was a very busy day, and I wish I was able to spend more time with everyone, but I am sure you all understand. We had lots of people in the house, and on the deck. I am happy that each and every one of you were here today!

Taylor had a great night out riding with Gen!

Yes you see that right, Taylor is on the horse with NO SADDLE!! He didn't go far, but he did a wonderful job! He loved his time, and can't wait to go back again. We are so thankful that Gen offered to take him out!

Isaiah however.....

We are not sure if it was being up that high, or being with Gen. He was not a happy camper until Dad took him from Gen.

It was so great to watch Gen ride, and jump Missy. You can see the love there. We really enjoyed our time out at the barn. Taylor can't wait to go out again, he so loved it!

Ok, so I have been adding photos on facebook, but not here...
We just got back from Oshawa. We ran up there for a few hours. Uncle David is there for the Spring games with Ontario Special Olympics!
We got to see him for a few minutes. The Opening Ceremonies are wonderful, but the weekend is soo busy for them! We got a few pictures, but not the greatest.

Isaiah has gotten to the point now where we can't feed him anymore. He will only eat on his own! Jason made meatloaf the other night, Taylor ate almost half the loaf, and Isaiah wasn't far behind!

Well I have decided that we don't seem to have the time to blog anymore.
I have asked Jason many times to try and get some of the videos and pictures up here, but I see that has failed. So I am just going to give up on this blogging thing. I don't have time anymore, and I guess Jason doesn't either.... not really sure what he is doing with all his time off, but I guess Isaiah keeps him busy...

I am still enjoying my job, even with two accidents under my belt now. I don't really feel much like keeping in touch with people anymore, or doing anything extra...so... who knows what will happen next....

Well it is my first day of work today!!! I can't wait to get moving, but I figure leaving 1 1/2 hours before I need to be there might be a bit much! LOL.
I actually got some sleep last night. Jason dealt with Isaiah the many times he was up.
I will write more, I have so much to say, just can't seem to figure out how to get the words out. I also have some videos, but I have to wait for Jason and I to have some time so he can show me how to get them off the video camera and onto my computer, then onto the web!
Thats about it for now. I hope to let everyone know what kind of a day I had.
I seem to be facebooking much more then blogging... how sad is that.. I guess it is just one of those "Phases"!!

Well we made it to Winnipeg on the 18th. We stayed with my Dad that night, got to visit with Grandma Shelvey, and Michele. Dad had to work, so we didn't get much time with him, but I think we are going to go back early and stay a few with them, so we can.
My dad drove us to Prawda to meet Jason's dad on the 19th. We came to Kenora from there. It was a nice drive. The roads were good.
On the 20th, Jason the kids and I were bumming around the house kinda listening to the "police scanner", listening to the tv, trying to figure out what to do for the day. We didn't get much done, kinda just had some down time, and got Isaiah settled into the house. Around 2pm, we heard on the "scanner" that there was an accident. That kinda perked my ears, because thats just who I am. I was only kinda listening, they had closed Railway Street, due to the accident. Then they ran the plate to the truck involved. I heard my mom's name... and freaked. I knew she was going to Winnipeg to pick up the girls. I ran around to find my cell phone to phone her and ask her where she was, what she was driving and so on. We figure out it was Pete (my step-dad) who was in the accident. His truck left the road and hit a "power pole".
We were worried about David, because it was close to the time that he had to be picked up. Jason ran to pick up David from work. I sat with the boys. When Jason got back to the house, I headed up to the hospital.
I made a few phone calls along the way. Worried about what I was going to walk into when I got to the hospital. I made a call for prayers, for someone to try to get to Winnipeg to worry about my mom and girls.
I got to the hospital, they didn't want me in to see Pete right away. They wanted to talk to me before anything else. When they finally let me in to see him, it wasn't as bad as I had imagined. He was just laying there, tubes here and there, but just laying there. I sat there with him, holding his hand, talking to him, letting him know I was there with him, and we were trying to get mom back to Kenora.
Jason and a friend Andrew drove up to Winnipeg to bring everyone back. The roads were starting to get bad so they really had to take their time. It was about 9pm by the time they got back from the city. Pete's mom, two sisters, and brother in law followed not far behind. I am so thankful that I had a few friends who could come stay with me while I was sitting there.
It was a long day, but in the end, it wasn't that bad. Pete was brain dead. They figured that his brain anurizim had burst before he had hit the pole. So he was "dead" before anything happened.
Mom and I ran around the 21st, and got so much done. Looking back now, I don't know how we did it. On the 24th we had Pete's funeral. It was a very nice service.
Yesterday was Christmas. It was a very busy day. We started at Jason's parents house, opened gifts here, had some quiche, and went to my mom's to open more presents. We then came back here to get things cleaned up and get ready for Jason's mom to do dinner for everyone out here. It was so nice to have everyone all together.
I hope that I will get more posted, and some pictures up. Jason and I didn't take any pictures... we are bad..

what to pack

Time feels like it is getting away on me. I am really feeling the crunch. I have so much to get done before we leave for Kenora, and I don't know where to start!!
We are having Sophie, Justin and Rylan come stay in our house while we are away, that way we don't have to worry about being gone so long and worry about the house, and our cats. I am sure that they will enjoy the time in a different environment. However, before they come, I have to get the houses clean, so that Rylan has little to get into. I know that it is going to be a hard thing to do, but I know we can get it done. I want to make sure that the livingroom is safe for him. I also want to get Isaiah's room clean, so that it is usable for more then just him sleeping! Rylan will like to be able to play and have some fun.
Then there is the packing..... what on earth do I have to bring.... We will be needing our snowsuits, winter clothing (something we have not used here yet), sweaters, baby things, Taylor things.. I really don't know what to pack! I have never traveled with someone so little before.. I am thankful to know that we have a few friends who will lend us some of the essentials! I don't have to worry about a playpen, or toys, as we will have them to borrow.. What else do I have to bring..
My mind is going crazy trying to think of all the things I want to do before we go...

Oh... and I almost forgot.. I still have to mail my Christmas cards... sorry if they are late everyone.. I am kinda slow on this one this year.. I have been running out of time, and don't know what to do about it!

Oh my! I wish I had one of these with Taylor when he was a baby!!
Isaiah just loves this!! He will sit in this for so long, and just coo away!
Amazing the things you can find at Once Upon a Child! (a second hand store)
He has found his hands, and knows how to scratch himself very well. We are working on his rash, and have bought some new laundry soap to see if that might be the problem.
Sorry no video yet, gotta get on Jason for that one.. he has a lot going on that he has been working on for work. I will get to him soon!

Happy to say I am over half way done my Christmas cards, and hope to get them in the mail by the end of the weekend.
Taylor is home from school tomorrow, and Aly plans to come over for the afternoon. I hope to get some "Christmas baking" done even though we will not be here. I want to get some done for some friends. I know that I have to make Uncle David his "M&M cookies", but I will be doing them with smarties, and not until we get to Kenora.
I think all my shopping is done, just have to get to Kenora to wrap it all.
I hope to get a few pictures or the video up before the end of the weekend.

Well, lets see how this works. I pulled the video camera out of storage in the basement, having a Mac makes it so much easier to do this video stuff :) Built in Firewire, gotta love it.

Ok, I am not good with this anymore.. I guess this comes with having two children!
I hope to have some great photos for you after our wonderful night tonight. We have friends coming for dinner! I plan to BBQ a Turkey, yes thats right BBQ the turkey.
I miss being able to have people over, and cook for them. I am hoping that this will be the start to our return to entertaining. I enjoy having my house full of our friends and family. It is so much more fun then when you are home alone.

I got Nanny's recipe for Shortbread cookies from aunt Sal, and I can't wait to burn some!(Girls you know what I mean!!) I know that we are going home for Christmas, but I do want to get some baking done before, and maybe take it with us, or maybe just eat it all ourselves!
We are not going to put up our tree this year. It really doesn't make sense. We will be in Kenora for 3 weeks, including Christmas and New Years, so not much point in decorating here.
Well off I go to cleaning the house, and getting some of the preparations done for tonight!

We have really been blessed by our Church family. I am so very thankful for everyone. I know I can always count on them to help out, and to be there when we need someone. Either a shoulder to cry on, someone to help with the kids, or someone to just talk to.

Well yesterday Isaiah went for his first needles. Jason and I were both a bit uptight about the situation. However, Isaiah did well. He did cry, and I thought Jason might do the same, but once he got back into mommy's arms and on the breast he calmed down. He ate really well after the needles.
Everything changed after that....

Isaiah slept!!!! and Slept!!!! and Slept!!! He would wake up long enough to have a quick snack, and fall back to sleep... wake up scream, and snack, and back to sleep. This went like this almost all day. Jason came home from work, and I went out for a bit. Isaiah had a feed for him, and was asleep when I got back.
So I started to get a bit worried when he was sleeping so much, I thought we were in for a bit of a night. Well, it wasn't that bad. Isaiah didn't sleep that great, but he did sleep all night. He didn't go to a deep sleep, but was asleep. He fussed, moved lots, and made lots of noise.
Today he has eaten quite well, and has just started to nap. I hope that he is back to his normal day, not that we have a real normal day yet! I am sure that we will get a routine soon.

Taylor stayed home from school with me yesterday. He had a good day. He has been so helpful, and always wants to do what he can for Isaiah. He helps lift him up to the chair, move him. the only thing he will not do is change him! LOL We have talked to him about it, but he will always say "I am a child, I can't change a babies bum" It is so cute.
Sorry there are no pictures. I am sure there will be lots as we get closer to Halloween!

I don't know how Anne Geddes does it, because it sure isn't easy to get cute pictures of babies doing these things!!

So we tried to do the Geddes photo of Isaiah. I guess he didn't really like it.. maybe it was too cold in there for him. I am willing to try it again, but with a towel or something inside, that way it isn't so cold.
I have gutted two pumpkins, and hope that in the next day or so we are able to get them carved and looking good. I have a few tiny ones that I would like to gut and put candles in. I will take pictures when I get them done.

Isaiah goes for his 2 month needle tomorrow so please keep us in your prayers. I am sure it will be ok, but just in case.

Today is Jason and my second anniversary! We had a quiet day at home, as the weather here is really hot!! +32!! It is crazy! We did get some work done around the house.

We also got to go out for dinner on Saturday. A big Thank you to Sophia and Justin for taking the boys for us so we could go out. It was great! We went to the Mandarin for supper. It is a large 7 table buffet! You name it, it is there! There was lots of fish, so I had to be a bit careful, but it was worth watching what I was eating. We were just heading to table number 4 when my cell phone rang... my heart stopped.. I was reaching for my phone, knowing who was calling already by the ring tone... It was Sophia... all that was going through my head was "Isaiah is driving her nuts, Taylor is acting up" and those sorts of things. I answered the phone..."Robyn, you have such a great baby! You don't need to rush home, he is soo quiet, they are both being so good!" Sophia was so happy that I was a wee bit confused. We finished our dinner and headed home to pick up the boys. Sophia and Justin were not expecting us quiet so soon, but I had to feed Isaiah.

So Isaiah is now 2 months old!!! I can't believe it has been that long! He is sure growing. He is doing great at holding up his own head, eating so well, and playing very well on his own, as well as with his brother.
The boys had their first bath together tonight. I wasn't "allowed" to take pictures. The oldest, not mentioning any names, told me I was not taking pictures of him in the bath tub!
So instead, here is a picture of Isaiah and a big Smile, and one of him just after I took him out of the tub.
I hope to get some pictures of Taylor soon, but he has been a bit camera shy.

Isaiah and I went to Brampton today to visit some of our friends. We didn't get to far, but we did get to see Joyce. It was nice to get out and visit.
I have been having a bit of a time feeling trapped. I don't like this not being able to get out and do things. I feel like I am stuck here in the house. I know I am not, but it is hard to get out and do things when I have to catch the bus to go, or walk. I also am not a big fan of doing things alone. It is times like this, that I find it rather hard to be so far away from our families. I also find this time very hard to be without Nanny. I forgot how much she was around when Taylor was a baby.

Isaiah is growing fast, and outgrowing so many of this clothes. He is a great baby! He is feeding much better then he had been, and is sleeping better.
We had a really nice visit with Great Grandma Stahls, and a few others.

We have been having some fun playing on the floor, in our crib, and in our chair. I am so happy to see Isaiah play with his toys, and reach for things.

He also got some great shoes from his Aunt Gail! I love them! I have been looking for these for such a long time!

Well my Mom and Sister Keyra were down for a week. Elaian was also here. They all had a great time with Isaiah. He is such a good baby!

SO good news today from the Lactation Consultant!!! Isaiah is up to 8lbs 11oz!! He has gained 10oz in 5 days! This is great news! I guess we are slowly getting back on track, and getting things under way properly!

Ok, so now that Soph has given us the great pictures that she took, I can show them to you also! Thank you so much Sophie for taking so many pictures and for watching Taylor. It means the world to us to have such a great friend!!

Here are Taylor and I on the way to the hospital at about 12:30am on August 17th. Sorry, no picture of Jason, as he was driving, and Sophie was sitting right behind him, and was not able to take a picture of him.

Sophie and Taylor may have missed the birth, but they didn't miss the midwifes checking Isaiah out!

We are so happy to be home. Isaiah is doing much better now. We go to see Andrea tomorrow at 11:30am, so I will update you on what she has to say! As of Saturday when she came to our house Isaiah was 7lbs 9oz. He is slowly gaining back his weight. We have until Friday to try to be back to his birth weight.
I am happy to report that when I went to TOPS last night, I lost 11 lbs! Yes, I am back to my prepreo weight!! Now to get the rest to come off, and get my body back in shape!

Birthday

Ok, so tomorrow is Taylor's birthday. I know he is upset because we are having an "adult party" and only have Sophie and Justin coming to it. He is having a "kids party" in September after he goes back to school, and has time to invite friends from school.
I don't know how to deal with this. He is showing us some attitude that we were really not ready for. I know this is common with a child who has spent so much time as an only child, but wow! I didn't think it would be like this. It has been rather trying on both Jason and I. I know that once he gets back to school that things will get better, and the more time that we are able to spend with just him, and get him involved in things the better things will be.

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to learn and adjust to our new family life.

Yes, we are home. Sorry that it has taken us so long to post, but things here have been very hectic. I hope that by next week things will slow down a bit more.

Isaiah is dealing with some jaundice, and not feeding so well. We are having to express breast milk, and supplement him at the same time as feeding him. This means it takes both Jason and I to feed him. Thus causing issues with Taylor. He is having a bit of a time adjusting to being a big brother, and sharing his parents. We have really noticed this during feeding times. I know this will get better as time goes on, but it is really frustrating to deal with at the moment.

So we have some pictures of things like our first bath at home!! What a great time that was. Isaiah didn't cry when we put him in the tub,we got him all wet, washed half of his body, and then the screaming began! It was great fun.

Well, looks like we'll be at the hospital for another day, maybe two... Isaiah isn't gaining weight, he's dropped a bunch actually and they're worried about his jaundice. We've gone to breast feeding, followed by pumped milk from after last feeding, followed by some formula.

Please pray for Isaiah, he needs to get his weight back up. Also keep Robyn in your prayers as she's not taking too well to having to stay in the hospital again.

I'll be adding some more pics to the gallery in the next few minutes so have a look.

The Lord has blessed us with a 8lbs 2oz boy with all ten fingers and toes born Aug 17th @ 6:57am EST.  Mom, Dad and Isaiah are all doing well and we hope to be home tomorrow afternoon!

Well we just got home from our midwife appointment. We are 3 cm dilated, and well on our way! Andrea said she hopes by tomorrow! I have to say, I would be more then happy with that!
This seems like such a long process! I am happy to report that things are well so far. And Jason will have to keep you posted when everything happens!

Well I am not really sure what I think of this, but it is done now!
I thought it was such a great idea, until I had to lay there, and not move while Jason and Taylor put the casting material on my belly.
I think I would like to try one in a more sitting position, as I feel the cast doesn't look pregnant, but just fat! LOL

Happenings

Well, Mom, Pete, and Uncle David came for a visit! I didn't get many pictures, I had lost the camera for a while, so I hope when Mom gets home she will post some for me. Pete was good and busy at taking pictures!

We went to the Falls for a day. It was great! Lots of walking, and sight seeing and checking things out.
Tic didn't really like the wax museum, he got a bit freaked out by some of the "people".

These are just some of the things we did while we had our visitors.

So after our visit with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle David, we went camping with Kim, Neal and Dano!!
Taylor was so happy to see Dano it was just great!!

Rylan's 1st Birthday

Ok, sorry to beat Sophie, but I couldn't wait anymore!
We went to Rylan's birthday party July 8th. What a great time we had! Rylan had a blast, and sure got lots of fun gifts.

While everyone was still setting up, Rylan was sitting in Taylor's lawn chair, on and off, on and off!

Rylan sure knew what to do with the one gift of the sippy cup!!

Taylor also got a great giftbag to keep him busy during the party. What a great idea Sophia had with that. The party was at Judy and Marc's out in Grimsby, and what a yard!!! I would love to have a yard like that! It was huge!!

We ended up having to go inside for cake and icecream as the rain had decided to visit. Rylan had a great time with his own cake!

SO this week, we have been busy with our yard, and trying to get a few things done around the house. I haven't been too useful, but I keep trying.

Back yard and Canada Day

Well I am slow on this, but here goes.
We have been working slowly on our back yard. Jason has moved the pond.

I have been playing around pulling our raspberries, and trying to decide what to do with some of the other flowers.

Then on Canada Day, we decided to go to the Falls for the fireworks.

Well the church does there yearly Baptisms out at Valens Camps. So some people went out saturday for the night, us, we went out Friday!

Friday night was just the three of us, it was a nice night to spend as family. HOwever it was the coldest of the two nights.

Saturday, we did have some fun. There were 3 other familes that joined us, and then the 3 girls that joined our site! We had some great times!

Then there was Church service Sunday morning! The Baptism was so cool to watch!

School Trip

Ok, so you can't blame me for this one...
Jason and Taylor went to African Lion Safari yesterday with the school. All of the grade ones got to go on this exciting trip.
They left the school at 9am, and didn't get back until almost 3pm. Sounds like they had a great time! Both of them were very tired when they got back, Jason more so then Taylor.
Jason didn't take the camera, so you have to use your imagination. Check out the site, I am sure you will want to if you plan to talk to Taylor at all, because he is still singing the song for it!!

I don't have any other pictures to post either, I hope to get some of the progress of the back yard soon. This is our next thing to try and get done. I know that we said one yard at a time, but really... we are on a roll, why not get it done! We have to work out what we are going to do with the pond, and decide what for sure we are going to do with that. I would like to have a bit of a waterfall, since we can't do the stream this time. who knows. time will tell!

Ok, so I really need to get my butt in gear and start blogging more. I keep saying I will do it, and I don't seem to get that far. I don't know why.
I have not really been taking many pictures either. I should start doing that again too...

This is Taylor and Zach at the park. Jason took them there to fly the kite the other day, but found out that it wasn't windy enough.

I am very impressed that Tic can hang upside down!!

This is Taylor and Zach just before Zach left for his big move to Elliot Lake.

So today, we decided it would be nice to head up to St. jacobs for old times sake. I don't know if it is just to early in the year, or if we have really been out of it, and things have changed that much. We had a nice walk around, saw Dave's old business, and was shocked! When we entered the Market, we couldn't smell the Kettle Corn.... We walked around a bit, and around, and around... still no smell of Kettle Corn.

So, St. Jacobs just isn't the same now that Dave doesn't own the Kettle Corn. Taylor was upset not to see Dave and Sue there, but we explained things to him.
We did find the "Lemonaid Women" who is also different this year. All in all, I think we will just go to our local Farmers Market. It was a nice day away, but just not the same as what we thought it would be.

Also, today, Mom & Dad Stahls bought our Anniversery/Birthday gifts!!!!!!

Jason and Taylor had a great time cutting the grass in Kenora. Too bad we don't have enough grass to have one of these! I think Taylor would really enjoy it!

We had a great long weekend. We got the grass done in our front yard. I hope that it grows well. We were all a bit worried about using sod, but lets face it... its grass! and fast!

Ok, so this is what we hav done to the yard now!! We still have some work to do. The large rocks on the left need to be moved in a row between our yard and the people next door.
We had a great time today planting our flowers. I have a few more that I would like to get, but I don't know what to put in there yet!!

The other day Sophie and Rylan were here. WE had our first day in the pool! It was a bit cool, but the kids sure had a blast!!

We are heading back to Kenora on Monday. I dont' know how long we will be gone, as we have only bought one way tickets. We will have to see what happens when we get there. Please keep us in your prayers.

I don't know what this beautiful flower is, but I have many of them in my yard. The tulips are starting to come up also. I am shocked at how much work we have actually gotten done.

Ok, so its been a while for these pics.. I should have had them up a long long time ago.. sorry.. I guess I am a bit slow to do most things these days.

I was asked for a prego pic, so here it is.. I don't like it.. but its there for those of you to check out.

These are some pics of when we were at Kim and Neal's in March. I know I am slow on these, but better late then never.
Tic had a great time playing Goalie. I would love to get him playing hockey next year. I think by then he will enjoy it better, and have learned to skate by then!

We also took Rylan with us when we went. Kim had a blast with him, as did the rest of us.

I hope you guys enjoy these. I will try and actually write about what has been going on this weekend. I have a few things to try and get done. I also have to get some cleaning done, my house is kinda scary...

Here is the baby!!! Growing fast. And never stops moving. Baby didn't stop moving much when the tec was trying to get mesurments. I could feel baby moving like crazy. We also saw the OB, and our Midwife today. Babies heart rate is good, and baby looks good.
We will keep you updated as we know things. We are being sent to Mac, to look into a little blip that was "found" today. We will find out for sure if what the tec saw was correct or not.

Well I don't know about Robyn but I was starting to feel a little stressed/down and out by the time Sunday came around. Finances weren't where I wanted them due to some questions around my hours and my cutting back on overtime outside of the shop because of it, I wasn't sleeping, it just sucked.

Monday morning on his way to the office Pastor Steve droped by, gave me our book for the study we're doing in small group and gave me a card from the group to "help us out with the airfare." I could have kissed him, altho I don't think it would have been apretiated, I was tempted to atleast hug him but I wasn't sure how that would go over either. It was such an amazing gift for us, I was to the point of wondering how I was getting to work today as I didn't have gas in the car, nor money to put it there. I'm not normally one to advocate monetary gifts but in this case it was such a blessing.

Today I was still bummed, finances were better, but I still felt down until I talked with my co-worker Paul. Paul and I have this weird relationship, he's like a older version of me who's gone through all the pains that I have/do and all the self-destructive parts of my personality. He knew exactly what I needed to hear as per usual but didn't have the words so off he went to find them (lyrics from a song.) Here it is, may not mean anything to anyone else, but then again it might it sure did to me.

But when they passed around the plate at the end of it all,
I didn't have a penny to pay, so I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign
I said thank you Lord for thinking about me, I'm alive and doing fine"

What really hit me most of all was I'm alive and doing fine. As much as I dwell on and get upset over the littlest things, I have to remember and be thankful to God that I'm alive and doing fine.

Well we went and bought ourselves a water cooler. Whe Tic and I were in Kenora, he seemed to drink a lot of water from one, so we thought we might as well get one. Maybe he will drink more, and stop having issues....
However.. after we got the cooler out of the box, and were setting it up, this is what we turned around to see.

Later that day we had some great visitors! Dano made it to Southern Ontario!! YAYAYA
Taylor and Dano have been friends for a very long time. I am so glad that they were able to get together! Thanks Kim and Neal for bringing Dano here!

Yes, they do get very silly when they are together!

Some of our news

Ok, it has been a long few weeks. I am sure there is light at the end of the road.
Here are a few of our happenings the past while.

So, if this little one wasn't around, I don't know where I would be! This is Rylan, Sophie's wee one. They have been here off and on the past while. I am so happy to see Rylan grow, learn so many new things, and spit his food back at you! He has kept me going. I love his smile. It seems to always calm me down.

My trial cake. Thank you Taylor for taking the picture. Well I thought that before we have company over, and I make all this stuff for St. Paddy's day, I had best try decorating the cake and make sure I can get it out of the pan. SO.... getting it out of the pan, not such an easy thing to do. Got it out, without any major problems. We left it in the oven covered overnight. No worries right.... wrong! Here I go to ice the cake... nice white butter icing... mmmm tastes great.... however... not really covering the cake.. the cake is crumbling.. it is way to moist! It kept coming through. Oh well! It looks like confedie icing! I had a blast with the green icing. In the end, it had more then just the outside edge done. I played with a few ideas for next week. I am not letting you in on those yet. I will show you when it is done!

So, not a great picture, but better then nothing. This is Taylor's lip. He had a bit of an insident at school on Monday. He and another boy were playing in the school yard at lunch, and.. I got a call saying that Taylor needed to be picked up from school. I got there, and couldn't believe the blood. They had ice on his lip, and he looked like heck. We talked to the VP, and got a few issues figured out. I brought him home, and he hung out on the couch most of the day.
I went to look at his lip after about an hour or so, and got a bit worried. His lip looked bad, but his gums were worse. Right where his front adult tooth should be coming in, there was a nice size laseration. I got worried about that, because when it comes to adult teeth who wants to mess around with that.
Jason and I took him to the dentist Tuesday morning, and the dentist was good. He isn't worried about the laseration, as he said it should heal well on its own, and he doesn't think the adult tooth will be effected in any way.

So that is about all that has been happening here. Jason and I went to see the OB today, had a good chat with her about how we felt about a few issues, and got most of them resolved. We got to hear the heart beat! It is so amazing to hear that. Tomorrow we go to the Midwife, and are going to take Taylor with us, so that he too can hear the baby. He is so excited about all of this. I sure hope that he can be with us durring the delivery. I hope that if we have to do things in the hospital, that they will still allow him in with us.

Forgiveness

Ok, so that was the topic of today's service. Pastor Steve sure hit home with this one.
How many of us hold something on someone? Have not forgiven someone for something they have hurt us with? May it be something small, or something big, Jesus says that we have to forgive.
Colossians3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Matthew18:15 "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

So, how do we forgive? How do we forgive a father who wasn't there? A friend who has hurt you? A family member who continues to hurt you? How do you return love, when you have been hurt so many times?
Well lets start with this....Hurt People Hurt Others.
What good does it do us to hold things in? To hold in the hurts that people have caused us? Where does it get us? How does it help us?
It doesn't! It leaves us stressed, leaves us still hurt...and where does that get us... Let's see.... Cancer... Ulcers... Headaches... and more other sickness.
So what do we have to do?

We have to forgive! It is the only way to deal with all of these issues. Lets face it, we are just going to have problems if we don't forgive.
We have to look at things from God's prospective. Look at things from God's view. What does he say we need to do... FORGIVE!!!
How do we forgive someone who might have no clue that we have held something against them for so long? We pray about it. I have held something against someone for a very long time. I thought I had forgive them for it, but I have been coming to the realisation that I haven't left all of those issues at the foot of the cross. This is what we are told to do. We need to fix things before we can carry on. We need to forgive those who have hurt us in anyway, so that we ourselves can be forgiven for holding it in.
Forgiveness is the only way to move on, the only way to rebuild and restore that relationship. It only takes one side of the equation to "let go" to start the ball rolling, to start the process of forgiveness.
Forgiveness helps our mind, body, emotions, and soul. We all need to stop, think,and pray about those people in our lives who have hurt us, forgive those who have hurt us, ask for forgiveness for holding this in, pray that we will change, and that those people who have hurt us, pray for those changes that need to happen.
God is the only one who can help us through this. God knows what is best for us. He is the almighty, he is worthy. We know that without forgiveness, we are without.

2 Corinthians 2:9-11 9The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. 10If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

Just a little something that really had me thinking today. Really had my attention, and really had me praying.

Taylor and I are home together today. He said he was very sick today. He seems ok now, but we have spent the day thus far in bed... He has been sleeping on and off most of the day. However, when he is awake, he is laying on me, cuddling me, and just always being as close as he can to me. I guess it is just part of being sick, but I somedays wish he would just back off a bit! I find it hard to do much with him laying on me, or trying to climb on me..

He has been really good about things with the baby. He seems to be excited, and likes to make sure that "mom gets rest"

Ok, I know I have been putting this off, and putting this off.. but if the porcelin and I were not such good friends I am sure this would have gotten done a bit sooner... and if Jason wasn't changing my Mac's, and a few other minor issues... lol

So here are the pics of Taylor and his new bed! He sure loves this bed. I was a bit worried when I saw how hight it was, and when Jason and I .... got upset with eachother while trying to put this darn thing together....

And now for all the fun we have been having. While everyone back in Kenora is laughing at us, for laughing at them a few months ago....

Things here are not all that bad! Taylor is very much enjoying the snow. It is nice to finally see this white stuff... now if it would just stop falling...

Snow Storm

Well we have been getting snow all day. We woke up today, and were not sure that there would be any school.

Ok..so this isn't Hamilton, but with the up to 60 cm they say we are going to get tonight... we could look like this! They have already cancled school for Tic tomorrow. I hope that Jason's class is cancled also.

Well, I have been looking for a new bed for Taylor for a while. I saw these great beds at Ikea that I thought would be so great! However, the price... another story!

Great bed right!! The go for anywhere between 200-600 at Ikea! We can't afford that, heck, for that price, there is nothing wrong with the bed he has right....

well.. we are getting one, just like this... for... ready for this...

Also, we just got our boys back from the vet, and Finn isn't doing so great, but he will be ok in a few days.

Well the last few days have been better. I slept all night last night, and wasn't ill!!
I am babysitting Rylan today so that Soph can get moved. We had him last night for a bit, and he was soo cranky. I wasn't looking forward to babysitting today. However, he is in a great mood! He is singing to me talking to me, and just going on! I bought him a new toy with frogs on it, and it is like a water mat. Heck.. thats what it is called.. Looks like these, but has two frogs on it!

No that isn't Rylan in the picture.

Well I have more to write, but he is getting to the point where he wants me to play, not touch the computer! LOL. I think he is ready for a nap, not that he really naps either!

Ok, so I will start off to tell you, that... Never have I felt like this when I have been pregnant in the past....
I have descovered the 4am nightly for the past month... I know I don't sleep well iln the first place.. but I mean.. come on.. do I really need to be up from 4-5am??
Ok, I understand that maybe my body is getting ready for the baby, and the times that the baby will be up during the night, but for an hour at a time? Do we really think a baby would be up that long at night? Was I that sleepy 6 yrs ago, and forget already? I don't mind the waking up, looking at the clock.... and telling myself, that I need my rest, to go back to sleep... that I am sure we can all deal with!

However... last night was a totally different story...

now for the 18+ and nobody with a weak tummy.

So 4am rolls around, Robyn wakes, lays in bed knowing it is 4am, and needs more sleep... when.. the tummy starts to roll... and roll.... and roll...
This being a normal part of pregnancy, I wait for it to pass, as it normally does after about 10 min or so. SO I wait... and wait.. and wait... then... all of a sudden... I have to pee.... like most pregnant women, it comes out of the blue, and if we don't hurry up and get there.. we might just be sitting in a mess.
So, I try to get out of bed, carefull not to wake Jason as he has to be up in just a few hours for work.... I rush to the bathroom, and have my pee... no big deal right.. except the tummy is still rolling.. and rolling...
So, lets just stay where we are.. the bathroom seems like the right place to be if one is going to get sick. Well, for those who have been in our house, you know how far away the tub and the toilet are.. and I am one of those people who need to be sitting on the toilet while I get sick.. or.. well.. you figure that out...
So, I get up, grab the garbage can, empty it into a grocery bag, and take it back to the bathroom with me. I sit back down, and try to relax, try to breath, try to enjoy the nice cold feeling of the tile wall.
Ya right.... next thing I know.. I am vomiting. I wake Jason (not on purpose), scare the cat half to death, and scare myself, as nothing is coming up.
I took a gravel before bed because I felt bad then, so I kept telling myself that I wouldn't vomit, because I took the pill. Jason.. the great man he is.. says.. "It doesn't last all night you know" Like I didn't know that.. I just had to fool myself into thinking I would be ok...
So 20 minitues later.. I am feeling better.. had a drink of my flat ginger ale, and clean up... back to bed I go..
No worries right.. the tummy is feeling better.. the head hurts from being ill, but that will go away... off to sleep I go...

Until my alarm goes off at 8am, telling me its time to get Aly and Taylor off to school... And the tummy starts again. When does it stop... I don't know.. I have not vomited this morning, but sure feel like it..

Everyone says by the second trimester that things settle down. I can only hope and pray for that. I don't think I could handle what Sophia went through. 9 mts of being sick.... no thanks.

Sorry to gross some of you out, but I had to vent, and get this all out.. lol
I know it will go away, it will just take time. I just have to be careful what I eat, and when.

We have solid proof now with our name and everything for any of you that thought we were fibbing about the whole pregnancy thing! :) Drs say we're probably about 8 weeks now and have given us a due date of Sept 2nd. Here's the pic they were so nice to give us! (and label too)

Snow

yes, can you believe it?? It does snow in Hamilton! It has been snowing most of the day. The roads are still good, not too bad. Other then the drivers who think they own the road, and don't think they have to signal to change lanes.
I hope that this snowfall will stay. Taylor has been lost with no snow. It has been quite strange to be somewhere with no snow for Christmas. Maybe this is a sign that I will be learning to ski this year... oh.. wait... am I allowed to ski while pregnant?
Maybe I shouldn't ask..lol

This pregnacy is soo different the with Taylor. I am not feeling too bad other then the cold I have, that I can't shake, and can't take anything for... but thats ok. I have been sleeping lots. I have to thank Aly for helping me with Taylor in the mornings. She has been letting me sleep, and she has taken him to school for me. It helps lots, as I am still babysitting in the afternoons.

I think Jason and I have decided to look into the midwifes in the area. We would like Taylor to be present at the birth. Besides, what else would we do with him! LOL. He has watched a baby story with me lots, so he has an idea of what it will be like. I want Taylor to be apart of this pregnancy as much as possible. I don't want him to feel left out at all. He wants to help name the baby, and I think that is cute. I am sure when the time comes for us to start thinking about names, we will all be soo excited.
I often wonder what the cats will, be like with a baby in the house... they will no longer be the centre of attention. I am sure that they, as well as Taylor will ajust. I hope it isn't too much of an ajustment for Tay. He is doing so well when we have Rylan. He just wants to play with him. I can't wait until Rylan is bigger, and he and Tay can play!

I have a prayer request. Keyra (my sister) is having some issues that need prayer. The long and the short, her bf Andrew left. Please keep her in your prayers. She really needs us all right now.

Happy Birthday

Ok,so lets get the birthday pics up. Paul isn't here today so I can get near the basement!

Today, this was of intrest. As Jason lay on the floor doing what ever he was doing..(playing a game, doing work, who really knows...lol Love ya dear!)
Maximus tried to help with the laptop. He really likes to play around, trying to attach the screen, chasing the mouse, and whatever he can when anyone is on the laptop. This is something we are all use to. However, if you look on Jason's back, you will see Finnigan also. Finn had no problem falling asleep on Jason's back. He loved it there, and stayed put until Jason moved.

This is the joy of having cats! As our pillow says, Dogs have owners, cats have staff!
This is soo true. Finnigan brought his food dish to me the other day, because it was empdy. Like come on mom feed me! LOL
These two have really been a joy to our house hold. Can't wait to add more to our house!

Not much Happening

Well yesterday was Jason's Birthday. Aly did take pictures, however, Jason and Paul are working in the basement this week, so we have no access to the other computers. So I will post the pics as soon as I can get down there.
We didn't do anything too exciting for him. His parents had me go down to CT first thing yesterday morning to get two new tires put on for him. Aly and I put bowes on them, and bought a cake, and put the cake on top of the hood. Called Jason outsie, and tada! Happy Birthday!!

I haven't been much in the mood for blogging. I have been kind of tired, and feeling a bit under the weather. Dealing with no snow here is driving me nuts, but I guess that is something that we have to get ues to.

Well I guess I should get my butt in gear and update. Things have been very busy around hear this past... oh... month...

Jason, Taylor and I went out for a dinner at TJ's Resturant. Tic was asked if he would eat this!

No worries.... he ate it... and got his reward!!

We had Jason's parents here for Christmas, it was so great to have them here. We sure miss them now that they are gone.... We sure hope they can stay longer next time. It was so wonderful to have family around. It made us realize how much we miss them, and how much help family can be.

Taylor got 2 more addons for Carcassonne, and have been going nuts with that. We have been playing so much carcassonne that we are going to turn into followers, cities, and the Count!

We Spent New Years in Innisfil with Kim and her family. Taylor had a blast with Dano, however... those pics will have to wait until Kim sends some to us... we kinda couldn't find our camera...

Maybe I should also let you in on another secret....
Then again.. maybe I will make you wait.... some of you if you check your email will know....
Ah... I can't wait... I hate waiting!!!

Ok, so I am really slow to post.. sorry everyone.. There has been so much happening in our house that I don't really know where to start!

We are sure enjoying our new family members. They are really getting along well with our family! They sleep as much as we do.. just opposit times!

Taylor had his two concerts last weekend, and he had a blast.
This week, he had his "girlfriend" over to do crafts and have a play date! They had a great time. Max even came out to play with Lauryn also!

And I am enjoying my daily nap with Stephanie! She is a great child to babysit!

MIA!!

Missing in Action....
One Panda,
Missing since... well sometime after 9pm, but noticed at 11pm last night.
Escaped from his cage we are sure with some help from either one 6 yr old, or two kittens.
What do we do with a missing Panda??

Jason and I spend the better part of an hour looking for Panda. We looked high, and low, and didn't find the hamster. We are hoping and praying that he didn't fall down the air vents. He has escaped a few times before... ok, many times before, but he has always been found. This is the first time that he has been MIA for so long.
Anyone with any information to our missing Panda please call the Pet Poilice! Or just let us know, so we can send him off to Pet Heaven if needed....

Well Max and Finn have been welcomed into our family. And we have been welcomed into theirs.

These to kittens are so great. We are sure having a good time getting to know them, as they are getting to know us. They are still shy around us, but they are coming around.
They really like to crawl into bed with Jason and I. And they are quiet when the sleep!
They have had fun learning our house, our fish, and finding out what Panda is. They have also shown Jason and I how much they don't care for the litter box with a cover! They let us know.. by using our bed..... Ah well, the lid came off, and they are using the box now.
Max is the darker kitten, he is also smaller. He is the trouble maker of the two. Max seems to be the one who starts everything.
Finn is the vocal one. He has no problem letting us know he is with us. He sure knows how to meow!
We are having a good time with these guys, and are so happy to have two "babies" in our family.
As for Jason and I being pregnant... sorr to dissapoint you, but not to worry, in God's time it will happen!

Happenings...

Well things have been kinda slow here, well, more like we haven't taken a lot of pictures... Last weekend marked the first day that I got to fiddle with knobs on the sound board at Church On The Rock Apparently it was a little too loud (or so Robyn and Sophie say), I'm blaming the swimming from the night before for plugging my ears. I had fun anyways, got not quite so scared to actualy move things by the time the end of service came around.

Wednesday (I think) we went to Maple View mall in Burlington. Interesting mall, found a cool little hobby/game store where we picked up a copy of Carcasone and we've been playing ever since. Here's some pics.

Aside from the game we also ran across a jeweler and decided to stop in. About 20 minutes and $160 later Robyn finaly had her wedding band :) We also left them with her engagement ring so it could be repaired.

Not much else I have to say except sorry to those who may download one of the messages from the Church website, I kinda was behind on the eight ball last night and hit record a little late for Dave's message @ The Alternative.

BTW, how high do you think Taylor went after this picture?

upon discovering a dead mouse, and closer inspection, we have dected that the cause of death is "blunt foce trama to the neck"

Other news Suiside among the mice. These mice have been walking on the glue traps finding themselves very stuck to these traps. when figuring out how to get off these traps, the walked right into the "snap trap" what do we do with all these mice?

Nothing! the house is quiet, and we have not seen any mice in a day! I hope we are at the end of the mice!!

Ok, so this morning, Taylor yells "Dead Mouse!!!!!"

Aly jumps up, to look, I sit with Rylan in my arms, Sophie says "Okay".....
And the snap trap has a mouse!!!!
Thank goodness... slowly we are catching them... Jason has taken two of them from the glue traps, Aly has taken the one from the snap trap, and two from a glue trap... so that leaves us.... only .... only..... huh.. I wonder how many more that leaves us....

I guess we just keep checking the traps, and keep setting them, until... well until a week goes by without a single mouse in the traps! What else is there to do right?

Ok, some of you might find this funny, some might find it offencive...

We have been dealing with mice in our house for a while now. Like some of you, I CAN'T live with the things. We have had the "snap-traps" all over our house. The mice seem to avoid the traps. It doesn't seem to matter what we put on the things. We have put everything on the traps that they have gotten into. So what do you do next?

I got really upset that these stupid mice were getting into all our food. Leaving their "calling card" everywhere. I have a lazy susan and there is a mess all over there every day. I clean it up daily, and then by that night, it is messed again.
So now what? Get a cat? we have a hamster that gets out once in a while, so I don't want it to get out and eatten by the cat...

So down to Canadian Tire I go. Very upset, and ready to do anything I can to get these stupid mice out of my house.
Snap traps... don't work...
live traps... what do you do with the mice once you catch them....
what else is there...

GLUE TRAPS!!!! that is such a great idea! They are soo sticky, nothing can get off them. You can fold them so that you don't have to see the mouse when it is caught on it... no worries right?
So, I buy as many as I can... thinking "gee.. the more we have the more mice we can catch, the less food we go through"
Ok...so the "folded" glue traps are all over the house. we don't have to worry about seeing it when it is stuck.. day one.... nothing day two... nothing day three... nothing again...

So.. lets open the traps and lay them flat! That will work.. there is more glue for them to have to walk on! Ya what a great idea! We know where they are hiding.. lets see what we can do with that right!
So we have 10 glue traps out, we know we have a few mice.
I send my sister down to the kitchen to make my son lunch for school. She comes back upstairs, and tells me the one in the lazy susan is not working, as the box of granola bars has been opened again. Great.. Now what right...
Well my 6 yr old son, heads to the cereal area, and SCREEMS! I go running in to see what the problem is.. There is a mouse on the glue trap at the back of the fridge. No big deal. My plan was to put it in a bag and take a hammer to it.
ok.. that isn't going to happen.. I can't do that to the poor thing. A hammer? I mean really... that is mean.. So now what do I do with the thing.. I am NOT picking up the trap with the live mouse on it! So, I leave it there... really people.. what do I do.. I can't face the poor thing... it is kinda cute...

Any suggestions??

Ok, so Jason and I are going out to the Haunted Hamilton's Halloween Ball tonight! We are both looking forward to going. We have been slaving over the sewing michines for the past few weeks, and this is what we get out of it! A fun night, for just the two of us, in a haunted house!

Ok, so why is it that it takes so much longer for me to get ready then it did for Jason?? I started they eyes at 4:30pm, and only finished everything at 6pm??? How is that fair? It only took him 5 min to get ready!!

Ok, so I have been on the hunt for a pair of boots that will look good with my halloween costume. I spent most of the afternoon yesterday looking for them. I went to so many different stores, and didn't get anywhere. I found a few pair that I liked, and got them on.. and my thighs are too fat!
So, early today, I ran to Walmart to see what I could find for more Halloween decorations, and such. Low and behold! I found my boots!

OK, so I am really really slow..
Nanny and David were here for a week, and I didn't tak a single picture! However, my sister was smart enought to take this one of Tic and David.

Yesterday Sophie and I spent the day together. It was nice to get out of the house, and do something. She came back to our house for dinner, and her and I ran away for 1 hour with out any children! We left Rylan with Jason and Aly. Everything should be cool right? NOT! LOL.. Jason.. you sure you still want more children?? I hear it was a wee bit stressful with a screaming baby for the full hour!

Then today, I thought I might as well get in gear and get this costume done for next saturday! I just started today! I don't know what I am doing! I don't understand the pattern.. but I am sure that I will get it done.. maybe..

Jason and I are going on a ghost walk tonight at Niagra on the Lake. I am hoping that the "white stuff" holds out for us. After seeing the pics on S's blog, I am a we bit worried, however, that IS in the opposit direction then we would be heading. I was watching some of the weathernetwork today, and maybe shouldn't. I will never leave the house!

Well off I go to work on Jason's halloween costume! Wish me luck. I will post pics of the progress when we get home tonight!

So, how do the chores work in your family?
I have to admit, things are not going so good here. It sure isn't easy.
Since I am at home, I don't mind doing the washing/drying the laundry, folding it, but I leave it for everyone else to put away. I don't mind making supper, or other meals. However, I fee, that the person to cook, shouldn't be the one to do all the cleaning of the meal either. Maybe I am wrong, and I should just get use to doing all the house work, but I thought we could all share this. I did a lot of house work growing up, and when I was on my own, I also did the cleaning. When you are alone, you are the only one who can do the cleaning.
I think I am going to write out a chore chart for everyone, and see how that works. I think it will be ok, but who knows how that will work. I figure that will work out the best, and we can take it from there. I guess this is all a day by day event.

Sorry it has been so long since I have done an update, but I will try and get this done more now that I have my house some what back to normal....

Been a while

Ok, so I am slow to post. We have family here for the week, and I just haven’t had time to get near the computer. But today is a special day!

Jason, I love you with all my heart! One year ago today, we married. The three of us became one. We have grown together, and will continue to grow together. We have over come many trials, and will continue to face each trial and over come each of them. We keep our hearts together, and work on things as one. We will continue to keep God in our lives, and let him Work with us!
I love you Jason, and I can't wait to celebrate the rest of our lives together. There will be so many more anniversaries to celebrate together.

Ok, so it has been a very long time since I posted. I have been very busy with so much going on.
Well the Fair went well. We got our name out there, and that is what counts. I met some wonderful people. I have lots of ideas and many more things will be coming up!

I spent the weekend away in Brampton with my TOPS group there, for RALLY. It was great! I enjoyed the time there very much! I sure miss that group. I hope that my group here will eventually warm up to things, and be easier to deal with.

I hope that this week is better for us to get up and write and keep blogging for you guys. I know that I need to take more pics and let everyone know what is going on.
I will have a post about church today.. but that will have to wait until I figure it out!

Well we are all preparing for Tuesdays "big Fair", and doing all we can to amek sure things are all in order. I have to get some new things up on the website, and get a few other things changed on the site. But I am hoping that the site will be a total show of what you would also find on any table I have.
We have been talking about some things, and how we can make the business boom. I think we might make just the pillow cases for sale now also. So we will have the cases, the pillow & case, the blankets, bibs, and a few other little things.
I will keep you all posted as to what is going on. I am now going to bed and going to try and get a few more things done for morning!

Awaiting Jason's return

Well it has been a very long week with Jason being in Alabama. I am so glad he is returning tonight. I just wish it was earlier then midnight, and not at TO airport!
Things have been very busy this week. Taylor has been having a hard time in school, and not wanting to listen to his teacher, kind of sounds like the wa he has been at home! I am sure that it is just a phase, and things will smooth out soon. Taylor has been working on his word sounds. I am looking for a good game that might keep him intrested in learning. I have found this past while, he has lost intrest. I don't know if he is bord, and beyond what we are teaching him, but it is rather upsetting with him not wanting to learn. I am sure that things will get better. I have been looking into different books that might get his intrest.
Things in our house are settling in. Now that we have a rutine, and things are getting done. Taylor is looking for other ways to sing Grace. we always do the "Jonny Apple seed" and he wants to learn more. We have tried to tell him, that you don't always have to sing Grace, but he is more intrested in singing, and said he will save his talking to God for bed time.
I am so very happy with him, and his faith in God. It is amazing how children have no fear, and just trust in the Lord. Why is it that we as adults have a hard time with trusting the Lord. I for instance, read my bible more then I read it to him. Yet he is so much stronger in his faith then I am. He knonws that God will always be there for us, that we can trus that God will not let us do without. Why do I have such a problem with that?

Well.. I said I would never feed my son something I wouldn't eat myself... However.. tonight was an exception... I didn't feed him... Aly did.. She made brussel sprouts with cheese. My mom can tell you that is something that she couldn't get me to even think about eating! I found so many ways out of eating them!

Ok. so Taylor has been having a blast with his hambster. This is what we have done with his cage now. We had it different, but I went and got more tubes, so we changed it to this for now!

The Brick

THE BRICK

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?"

The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother, "he said "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. "Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy! push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!" God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

sorry for taking so long to post.. but I havn't been in th emood.. and I just don't feel like posting much. nothing new is happening around here.
Jason is away for the week. He is in Alabama on training. Taylor and school are going well. I am waiting to hear bafk from CRA about a job I applied for.. other then that.. not much has been happening.
I have the laundry all caught up, house clean..lunches made for tomorrow.. baking done.. what else is there to do..lol

I have to get ready for the fair on tuesday, but I can't seem to get in the mood to pull out the sewiing michine.. so I hope to try and get that done today. Maybe since it is raining I will get that done.
