Passing of a friend

I gues when you only chat with someone online, it takes a while to really get to know them, it takes time to find things out. Jason and I have been talking in the Diabetic channel on MIRC for 4 years or so. We have made many friends, and gotten to know many many hearts. I received this in an email today.

Diabeties can kill.
Thank you Jason, for learning all you can about diabeties, for being such a great friend, and husband. For knowing what to do when someone is low, someone is high. You have learned more then anyone else I know would, about a disease.
For someone who is not personally effected by the disease, you have sure taken the time to learn, and to teach others about things. Thanks again Jason.
For those of you who know someone with diabeties, take the time to learn about it, learn what type they have, learn if there is a way to help them, to keep them on track, or if they are on a special diet, not allowed to eat foods. When you are having them for dinner, try not to have a high sugar, high in cholesterol. There are so many things we can learn, so many things we can do as friends. Yes, some people don't want help, but you can help without them knowing. Some people don't want anyone to do anything for them, but we can all help.

Birthday fun

Happy 6th Birthday Taylor!

We all went to the Peach Festival in Wynona (Hamilton by yet another name), look around through the crafts, got some cool stuff from Teletoon, Taylor got a toy car that you put water in pump it up and it blasts off down the sidewalk from them. Finaly we stoped by the fair on our way out, man are those things getting expensive! I remember spending $20 to ride as much as you wanted, cost us $20 for 16 tickets and everything except the slide, fun house and bounce castle were 3 tickets!

When we got home Robyn took a nap then we went to BP for supper, picked up a cake on the way and they sang Taylor happy birthday for him. Anyways, here's some pics for you all.

Dealing with a sad child

How do you deal with a child who is so upset that his "friends" are not coming to his birthday. I didn't think it would effect him so badly, but he is so upset. We had planned his party for Sunday afternoon. I have done a lot of things to get this party done for him, and yet, nothing works.
Next weekend (the 26th), is the peach festival, and there is a midway there. I hope that will help things, and that will give Taylor something to look forward to. There is lots going on that weekend, so I guess we will just have to try to make the best of it.

I forgot how rude kids could be. I am glad that my child had been thought to be polite, and not be mouthy with others. I am also glad that by the grace of God, we can teach him the way the Lord wants him to learn. God is so wonderful, and always ready to teach us.

When the pupil is ready the teacher appears

Taylor's first

Well this is Taylor's first every Mars Bar!!! They have now come out with a peanut free one, and this is great!! He has never tried one before, so this was a first. He couldn't eat the hole thing at once.. It took him most of the day to eat it all, but he did get it finished.. and now knowing that he likes them, I might get some small ones.. you know.. the bite size ones.. for "good days" they make a good treat, and since he really isn't to fond of chocolate in the first place, they will last a long time!!
How many parents can say that their 6 yr old doesn't care for sweets? He will often ask for something "healthy" instead of a sweet. He loves his fruit, so that is good. He has been really eating the past while, something strange for us again. He must be growing again. With his birthday only 14 days away, he is getting excited about things. We hope to be camping for his birthday with friends. Aunty Weezie has passed on to us, how to make an oven out of an apple box, and how to make him a birthday cake, so we will attempt that while we are away (but, incase of failure, I will bring one already made, so he doesn't get disappointed about it).

Web site still in the works

Well we are still working on the website for Justus Care. I have added a few pics thanks to Sophie and Rylan. I have a pic of one of the finished product. I have 2 more pillows done, and a request from a friend who also sells the Likisma Aromatherapy with me. She wants to put a few in her office for sale. I hope to get those to her on Monday, and hope to have some business cards in the very near future.
We are slowly getting things together for this company. I didn't know how much work could really go into putting a business together. I will be adding more pics, and more product as soon as I start sewing, and figuring out a few more things that would work. I have a pattern for a "Grocery Cart Seat Cover" that I am going to attempt to make, the "Sleep Huggers" that Sue and Dave used with Jules (see always slept so well with it), and I hope to attempt a Sling (I have 4 patterns for these, just need to decide what will work best, and not cost too much to make).
Sophie, you said you thought Rylan would be a good model, your right.. And I hope you don't mind me taking more pics, and using them on the site. I am sure that his cute face will help sell the product.
Not sure what other product to try, one suggestion was diapers, but I am not sure they are used much anymore. I know I didn't use them, then again, I know Dave and Sue did for a while.
I am more then happy to hear both advice and criticize. I take it well, so I am told now.... (I didn't a few years back). The more suggestions from you "New Mom's" is great.. 16 more days, and my "baby" will be 6, so I am a bit out of the loop.
If there is anything else you can think of that might be helpful to have, that might be easy to make, sent me a email, let me know, I will look into it, and take your suggestions and try to work with what I can.

On a slightly different note. I am also selling Likisma Aromatherapy. So now Sophie calls me the "Hippy". If anyone close by would be interested in hosting a demonstration before October, they would receive a free 10 ml bottle of germanium. I am willing to travel, however if it involves getting on a plane, or driving more then 6 hours, I think I had best old those off until my next visit out West. Keyra, I would love for you to host one, when I make it that way!! I am having a blast learning all the different things that you can use Lavender for. Or... Tea Tree.. I have always used it for my scalp, did you know that if you use it in your cleaning water that it will neutralize the smell in a bathroom, or that Lemongrass would keep your windows clean longer.... There are so many things that I have been learning, and sharing with those whom will listen.
well This post is getting rather long, for no pic.. So I had best sign off for tonight.
Chat soon!!
Hugs

Church on the Rock

Well we all attened church this week at the Church on the Rock.
The topic this week was "Survivor, Jurney through the wilderness" Crossing the Jordan. This is something I have never really put much thought into before. Sunday, however.. I put a lot of thought into it, and what was being said.
Joshua 1:1-11 was the reading.
Identify with the God of the Third Day. You never know what God is going to do on the Third Day. If you want to see God's faithfulness, you'll have to take the step. (Joshua 1:10-11) Ok, so this personally didn't wake me, I can't think of things of the Third day. The only thing that now comes to mind is, going to Kingston in 1992. It was a youth conference. My friend Candy and I went to it. It was three days. And it was only the third day that I remember the most. Things that happened that day, will be with me for the rest of my life.
Identify Your Jordan River: Joshua 1:6-9 Where is God asking you to take a step in faith? What do you do when you know something is God's will but you're scared to do it? Ok..Smack! so, what is my Jordan? What is it that is holding me back, standing in my way? Me, I am my Jordan. I am standing in my own way. Some of the things I hope to overcome and deal with, so that I can offer more of me to God... Dealing with acceptance, dealing with the past (let go and let God), asking for help with my faith, believing that things will come.
Its so easy to say that you believe, to say you trust, and to say you have delt with things. Yet a totaly different thing to actually do it. I know that God shows us how to trust. And he asks us to take that Spiritual risk. Asking God into my life was easy, I did so for the first time when I was 12, then again when I was 16, 18, 21, and again now, 28. I don't know what causes me to stray, but that is one of my Jordans.
"Be strong and Courageous" so easy said. Now how do I impament that. How do I be strong, how do I do what God is asking me to do. Joshuaquestioned God's thougths on crossing the Jordan, but he still had people getting ready to cross the Jordan on the Third Day, he did this because of the promice that God made. "No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you or forsake you: Joshua 1:5.
Why is it, that even reading this today, I am still so scared to leave my life fully in God's hands. How does one let go, and just leave it all go God? Some of you are there, in the same spot I am in your faith, some of you are leaders, some of you are teachers. I know that God wants us to teach, to spread the word, but how.
The more I look at my life, the more Jordans I see. I know that God seperated the river for the Israelites could pass. So why wouldn't God help me pass my Jordans.... He will, I just have to give it to hime, and let him. This is an area that I need help. So many things that I am just not wanting to deal with. Things that I don't know how to deal with.
For those of you who are more secure in your relationship with God, please, I am now, asking for help (Big step for me).
I don't have a problem praying for those around me, for family, friends.
Thanks for listening to my rant. It has taken me since Sunday to get this all figure out, on what to say, and how to say it.
