busy busy

well I worked today. It wasn't a bad day. We went to help my friend finish moving, and getting her house cleaned up and sorted out a bit. The kids all had fun together.
I am looking forward to having tomorrow off. I hope to sleep in as I haven't slept in for a while.
Well, it is getting late, and I know that I should get a few things done before I get to bed. Have a good snuggle with Jason...
Have a good night!!

OK, so no title. I worked today, and it was a bit of a long shift.
Jason, Taylor and I went to help a friend move, however when we got there.... we were in for a surprise. We ended up helping her pack, paint, and start to move things. She thought she could move all of her belongings with no boxes. Well did I have news for her. A friend of our went with me to go and find some boxes. We packed some things up, and got a few things over to her new place (5 doors down). We are going back tomorrow after work to help her some more. I am kind of hoping that she will be moslty done before we get there. Taylor wants to play in the pool that they have.
Well it might be early, but I am ready for bed. A bit of a long day. God Bless. Nighters

children

Well home from work, things started off really well.... Taylor wanted to go outside to play, not a problem right. Well he decided that he wanted to take his music shaker with him, and play. Again, not a problem. Then he came back inside and asked if he could have a bowl. I looked at him with a bit of puzzle but let him take out a bowl. Then I hear from the front yard "shake shake shake, please make a donation to help my mom and dad, shake shake shake" I thought I was going to die! I could believe he said that. I asked him why he would do that, and he told me that it was because he wanted us to have more money to do things that he wanted to do, and be able to have fun, and eat out. I guess kids always come up with the darndest things!

Now he sits screaming at me because I put him in a time out. He has been really mouthy for the past while. I don't know how to deal with him when he is like this. He likes to scream at us now, and I don't know what to say to him. The more I talk to him about respect the less he seems to have. I think we are going to have to pull out our devotional and read the one on respecting your parents again.
Well, I am off to find some chocolate to deal with this. Have a good night!

time to rest

Well I took my mom and sister to the airport today. It has been a nice visit. We did so much durring the time my mom was here. Now it is time to rest up before I go back to work tomorrow. I am hoping that things can get back to normal now, and we can get back on our rutines. I hope that Taylor gets rid of the attitude that he has right now. It is a bit much to deal with.
I go back to work tomorrow and for the weekend, then off monday, then work until thursday, and off friday. I am kinda looking forward to going back to work, only because I know it will be good money, and I miss talking to my friends there.

the Falls

Well we made it to the falls and back alive!!! We went to Marineland, and the falls. The drive was intresting, and a lot of fun in the rain. For the most part we missed the rain all day, but eneded up having to drive home in it.
Enjoy the pictures of us!

Zoo pics

Well today we went to the Toronto Zoo. It was a nice change of pace. I wish we would have had more time, and were able to see everything. I would love to take Taylor back there one day, and spend all day there looking at everything, reading every sign. I am not sure what I am going to post for pictures, but I will put up a few of what we saw and did today.
Tomorrow we are off to the Falls! I think that should be intresting.

day of rest??

Well I worked today, and it wasn't a great day, but it wasn't all that bad either. I guess it is part of the course. I enjoy my job, and have made a few friends while working there.
Tomorrow we will be going to the zoo with the family. I am hoping that Taylor will enjoy that. I also hope that I will get a few pictures of Taylor and some animals. I am sure that it will work out.
Well, I am watching tv, and watering the garden, so I guess I should go and take care of a few things before I fall asleep.
Have a great night people!!

Pictures

OK so now that I have pictures, I will get them up. There are a few good ones, so I hope you like our experience down town Toronto!

new things we have done

Well I drove to the airport and back on wednesday to pick up my mother. After that we went to Square one to do some shopping. Thursday we took the buses and subway to Toronto, and went to ROM, and the CN Tower. I will have those pictures in a few days, when I finish taking more pictures. Yesterday (Friday) we went to the Ontario Science Centre. It was not too bad, but I think that Taylor was a bit to young for that (I didn't take any pictures there as I forgot the digital camera) Today, we are off to the farmers marked in St. Jacobs. I hope that everyone has fun there. I will also try and take pictures there for everyone. Sorry it has been so long since I have written.

Made it

Well I made it to the airport to pick up my mother. It wasn't as scarry as I thought it was going to be. I am not sure how we are going to make it this week with her here, but I am sure that things will work out. She wants to do so many things, and they all cost a lot of money. I am really not sure what we are going to do with that, but I hope it will all work out in the wash.
Our plan it to head to Toronto tomorrow and check out the CN tower, Hard Rock, and a few other places. I don't want to drive down, so we are going to learn how to take the bus and subway. Taylor has never been on the subway before so I think that will be intresting. I am sure that he will enjoy it.
I have TOPS tonight, and not really sure how that is going to go. It has been a long week, and I think when I have seen food it has gone right to my mouth. Oh well there things happen right. I guess I should learn, and stop doing things like that. I think being depressed has something to do with it, but I could be wrong.
Not much else to report, kinda a sad boring kinda day!
Have a great evening

Title?

I can't think of a title, sorry.... What's new? I ordered two new DVD drives for mine and Nate's Xbox's, should have those installed by the end of the week. I've been playing around trying to setup a VPN between my place and my parents, so far getting FreeS/WAN or it's derifatives to compile on the 2.6 kernel is being a pain. I've done some work to the Xserve at work, hopefully should have most things running properly on it soon, man is it a pain to have to wait for Sean to log me in as root tho everyday.

On the non-geek side, me and Robyn got to go out on a date the other night, what an awsome time we had. Didn't go all over, movies and dancing and stuff, just went out for dinner and had a great meal. Talked about everything, and I just generaly had a wonderful time. Speaking of Robyn, could you be more blunt dear? :) "So when are you going to hurry up and ask me to marry you?" I told her she could always ask me.... :)

Just replaced the final transistor in the radio clubs main VHF repeater TX. RF probe showed a drop across the transistor, and we've had an antenna problem, so the logical choice was to change it. We'll see at break if I actualy fixed it :)

preparing

Well only 2 more days and my mother will be here. I guess that is a good thing. I am sure we will all be very busy. There are a lot of things that she really wants to do while she is here, and that is all great, I just hope she takes in to consideration how much money it is going to cost to do the things she wants to do.
I hope that Jason will have the computer room set up by then, that way I can take some pictures and put them up right away. Right now, I don't have a clue how to take pictures off the digital camera. I am sure I will get that all figured out soon.
I have been waking up with some really bad headaches again, and I am kinda worried as to why. I was hoping that the new bed would help things, but now I am starting to wonder if maybe I also need to look at a new pillow or something.
There is so much to get done before my mother comes, and yet I don't have much energy to get things done. I was hoping to get together with a friend of mine who has moved down this way from Kenora also, but she is too busy getting ready for her wedding on saturday. She and I haven't really talked much since I moved here, and I don't think that is going to change now that she is also here. I was hoping that it would, but I am not sure that her soon to be husband likes me, and I have a feeling that is part of the problem. Ah well.
Well I should sign off for now, and get some house work done. Have a great afternoon.

what a day

Well I didn't write on friday as I was working all day, then came home at 3:30, and slept until I had to go back to work for 11. Worked 11pm-7am. Yes, I am crazy! It made for a long day today, as I didn't get much sleep when I got home thismorning. As well, my night at work wasn't all that fun. I had a rough night with one of the staff members, and didn't really take it all that well. When I got home thismorning, I wasn't in the mood to sleep, I just needed to vent, and get things off my chest. Instead of doing that, I sat and watched cartoons with Taylor for a short time.
Well my Mother comes to Brampton on Wednesday for the first time. She has lots she wants to do. I hope we have time in the 8 days that she is here to have some fun, and do some of the things that she would like to do.
We are going to have a movie night tonight, and pray for some cooler weather!!
God Bless everyone, have a great night!

Sad news

Well, this was the last thing I expected... Robyn msged me at work yesterday asking what a friend of ours last name was. Neil Reynard from Kenora passed away on July 11th 2005, I'm assuming a heart attack due to diabetic complications since he had had two massive heart attacks in the last couple of weeks but I'm not certain. For all those who didn't know Neal he was a great guy, very lively and funny (loved sarcastic humor), intelegent and always had something to talk about. He was one of the last people I would have expected the Lord to bring home right now, altho he had health problems he took good care of himself. I'll miss you Neal, see you again soon and God Bless you.

Taylor

Well I thought I would write a bit about my wonderful son Taylor. He is 4 years old, and is spoiled! He loves the out doors, and really enjoys swimming. He has had a hard time adjusting to our move to Brampton, but I think that with all the visitors we have had, and will have he will be better. Taylor has some sevior allergies. He is allergic to Peanuts, Walnuts, Almonds, and all fish. He knows what he is allergic to, and sometimes gets very upset because he can't have something because it might have nuts in it.
He loves playing with younger children, and is always telling Jason and I that he wants a baby sister. It is sometimes hard to deal with this issue. We have gotten him a doll to try and hope that would settle him down about the baby issue.
This picture I am putting up today is of Taylor and his kite. I am gonig to have to learn how to take more pictures so I can put a few more up. Once I learn that, watch out! The blog will be full of pictures!!

The geek report, v0.1

Well, I've spent most of the day in front of my eMac at work. Got our little LCD touchscreen back finally, still don't know what we're going to do with it.... I've been writing code in Java for temperature monitoring for use on the Dallas Semiconductors TINI board we have here (small single board computer running a Java VM) that's progressing well. Got our first service ever for a Westermo device, a simple FSK modem. Looked like everything was fine till I tried it's RS422/485 bus and it wouldn't transmit. Opened it up and found a cracked resistor, replaced it and it's companion (also open) and put it back on the shelf. Nothing else planed at work, just ride the rest of the day out and wait for my lovely girlfriend to come get me :) Can't wait to spend some time with her, maybe we can go for a walk tonight....

what a day

Well the day started early around here. I drove Jason and his friend Dave to work, came home and got Taylor ready. My sister (Aly), Taylor and I then drove to Georgetown to get some blueberrys so I could make some jam. I thought since we were out that way I would also get some fresh corn, and chicken from the chicken farm. I didn't get that far. Both of the farms I went to were closed until 11 am, and it was only 930. We brought our blueberrys home and stuck them in the freezer.
Around 10 ish, we drive to Square One to do some shopping for a few things. I got the canning jars I needed, and Aly got her eyebrow ring she wanted. It was a good morning. We got home just before 1pm. I had to send Aly to the store to get some lemon juice for the jam, but now the jam is made, and I am off for a nap! The day has progressed really well so far.

new bed

Well we got our new bed today. I am so happy. Now maybe we will get some sleep!
I am going to try and add a family photo here today and see if I have got that one down yet!
I hope you all enjoy my yapping.

New to this

Well I have never done a blog before. I guess I might as well learn it while I can. For those of you who don't know me all that well, I guess I should let you know who I am. Robyn's the name! I am 27 yrs old. I am a PSW, and work in a Nursing home. I love what I do. I have a 4 yr old son named Taylor. I am dating a wonderful man named Jason.
I dont' really know what else to start with, so I will end it with this for now, and read some other peoples blogs to get some ideas!
