Oh Christmas tree

So instead of a gingerbread house like we have done in past years, Taylor found this nice gingerbreat tree. I think it is much nicer then the house, and it sure was much easier to put together. We didn't have to worry about if falling apart!
I have also included today's bath picture! Enjoy!

christmas

ok so I forgot to flip them.. turn your heads!!

here is the tree and Taylor!

yaya pictures!!

OK so lets start with pictures of the house... this will be a few posts long to get all the pictures up I think.
There are pictures of what we have done with the place, not all finished yet, but boxes are cute?!
Our kitchen is a good size, but the bedrooms leave something to be desired. Livingroom is ok, behind the purple tydied sheet is our computers.. a small cut out in the wall.. just enought room for a small table... and a hot hot computer!!! LOL
Enjoy these ones!

Christmas is comming

Ok, so last night, we put the lights and decorations up on our small tree. I wasn't going to put up a tree since we are not going to be here for Christmas, but Taylor really wanted a tree. A fellow co-worker gave us a small tree so that Taylor could have one up. He is soo excited, he wants to make sure that Santa leaves him something under his tree here, so that when we get home from Kenora, he will have something from Santa. I guess I have to pray about that one!
Christmas is a time for Joy, and Family. This Christmas, we have lots on our plates. With my sister Keyra going to have her baby any day now, Taylor is getting more and more jelious. I don't know how to teach him, that its ok to have a new baby in the family. He already phoned Nanny and told her, he doesn't like her anymore, because when the new baby comes, she is going to spoil the baby and not him anymore. She told him, not to worry. I can see it now.. Nanny holding the baby and Taylor having a tantrim. What will it be like when Jason and I decide to have a baby? How will he be then. He keeps telling us he wants a baby, a sister. I hope we can get this under control before we go to Kenora for Christmas.

thinking

Well the end of the month is nearing.... and I ask myself... is the old house empty yet... I know I have been told not to worry about it, but there are things that still haven't been taken out of the house, that I can't afford to have anything happen to.. Taylor and my hope chests are still in there.. my great grandfather ( who has passed on) made those, and I can't replace them. I am still waiting to know that the cable is here to deal with the digital camera, and the TP that is still under the sink in the old bathroom.. the list goes on.. what do I do.. I guess tomorrow between runs, I am just going to have to go there and deal with it myself....
SOrry for the rant....

good day

Well hello all. sorry for the long wait between posts.
I am waiting on Jason to bring over the cord for the camera so I can post some pictures of our new abode. Taylor is having fun with all his toys in his bedroom now. He also got one of his Christmas presents early, we gave him his new VHS, to go along with his DVD player he got for his birthday. He is all excited about being able to watch movies at bed time. I hate to burst his bubble, but that will soon come to an end.
Taylor is now catching the bus to school. Today was his first day, but I don't think dad took the camera, so I will take pictures of him getting off the bus! Jason said he seemed really happy to be going on the bus, and not mom's bus.
Anyway, I hope that Jason will soon get the rest of the things moved over, and I will not have to worry about it anymore.
Have a great day.

Ok so I can't think of a title for this. We move a few things yesterday, and hope to move more today. Not sure what we are gonig to get accomplished as we are not moving any of the big stuff until at least thursday, as that is when our phone will be moved over. I think this is crazy.
We found out that the house we are moving into isn't just a upper and lower, there are 3 apartments in it. I have to keep in mind that this is only for a short time. 6 months isn't that long.
Taylor asked me today if we could stay in the new house tonight, but without any of our large things there, it is kind of hard to stay, and without our phone it is even harder. So he is just going to have to wait a few more days. I hope that we can get things done by then.
Have a good day.

another day

Well, we started to move a few things today. We still have a lot to go, but at least we have a few things done, and all the boxes from the livingroom are gone. I know that it is going to take a while to move. I am sure that it will take us the better part of the rest of the month to get things done. I am hoping that we can be all settled before we go back to Kenora for Christams, but I am not sure about that. As we took the boxes over today, I did what I could to unpack a few things and find a home for them. While doing so I realized that we don't have much room for many things. I guess I will have to do more downsizing then I thought. I don't know what we are going to do, Taylor and I have been in a house for almost 4 years. You sure collect a lot of things in 4 years. Going to a much, much smaller place is very hard. I guess we will see what tomorrow has to bring...

Wind and Rain

Well with the weather around here no wonder people are running for cover! It has been so windy here for the past few days, its a wonder anything is still standing. We haven't had much heat since yesterday sometime, as the furnice will not stay running for any time. We tried to get in touch with the Landlord, but we might as well talk to a brick wall. I am glad we are moving, and our new landlord seems much easier to deal with.

On a lighter note. I found out today a friend is pregnant! There must be something in the water down here, as everywhere you look, there are pregnant ladies everywhere! Congrats Sophie! I guess I had best get ready to make you a blanket also!

Its Done!!!!

Ok so it didn't take quite a month, but the baby blanket is done! I sure like the way it turned out. Now to finish the other projects that I started and put on hold to get this done!

blanket making

Well on our honeymoon I learned to crochet. So, I decided to make a baby blanket for Keyra and Andrew. So I thought I would show you the start... and the middle.. I am still in the process of finishing it. I still have to do the border. This has really been an experience for me.
KEYRA YOU BETTER LIKE IT!!! no complaining, and saying I did something wrong!! Love ya!

larger city.....

So we move to a bigger city for more oppertunities... more oppertunities to get screwed....
Talk about a hassel. We have had nothing but problems since we started to try and move our phone and get our cable cut off. I can't believe how much of a problem it is to get these things done in such a large city. I never ever had these problems with anything like that in Kenora. My only problem there was the waiting for things to be done, and even that, things were done within a few days..... unlike Rogers here who will not cut our cable off until the 30th of the month because we didn't give them enought notice. Or the phone company who wants us to pay $60 to have our phone moved. Or the other phone company who is still charging us for using their services, and we haven't been for over a month. I don't get this....
Sorry for the vent, but I think I have to get this out!

moving

ok so we are moving. Nothing new right.. it has been almost a year... whats wrong with moving?? We are going from a nice spacious 4 bedroom place to a 2 bedroom small basement apartment. We have to downsize our belongings. I have gotten use to this after moving down here. I left a lot behind when I moved here. I am starting to think it is a trend. I have always been a pack rat, until now. I am gonig to start throwing everything out. Why keep things for so long. Why do I feel the need to keep letters, cards, papers, and other silly little things forever.
Moving is always a stressful time, and this time is no exception. I don't know what to do with all the stress. I am not happy with this move, but when you don't have much choice, what do you do. I didn't want to have to move Taylor out of his school, so we did what we could to stay in the area. I am feeling like crap because of this move. We are supose to be going there to clean today, and get the carpets cleaned. I have lost intrest in going, I don't feel like doing it anymore. I don't want to pack, I don't want to do anything in regards to moving, or for that matter.... anything.

Halloween

Well Taylor had lots of fun for Halloween. I am sure that he has more then enough candy to last him a lifetime! I have gotten around to putting up some of his pictures. We also went to the pumpkin farm and picked out our own pumpkins, and had a blast carving them.
Enjoy looking!

TOPS workshop

I spent the day yesterday at a workshop for Diabeties Education. I had a table for TOPS. I have never been a public speaker, so staying alone at this table was a bit hard for me. However, I think I reached out to many people about the importance of watching what you eat, and exercise. I had a hard time with this at the same time, only because 90% of the people that I was trying to speak to spoke little english, they spoke punjabi (sorry if I spelled that wrong). One of the handouts that I had with me was called "Emotional Eating", now thats my downfall. Ok, so lets face it women, who doesn't have that downfall. This past while I have sure noticed how important TOPS is to me. I am so thankful to all the members in ON#499 Brampton. Everyone is so encouraging, and always there to lend a helping hand.

being accountable

Ok, so today, I found myself asking myself, "Will this help me get to my goal" while in line at McDonalds with Taylor. I have to admit, that I made some different choices with my meal then normal. I didn't have the fries, and I only had the small burger. Compared to my normal Double Quarter Pounder and fries, I think I did a much better thing.
This past wednesday at TOPS, I lost 2lbs for the week. I want to continue on that downword scale to get to my goal.
Thanks for the support Jason, Joyce, and Susan. I know I can always cound on you guys

TOPS Rally

I spent yesterday in Bolton at the TOPS Rally. We had a blast. There was so much going on, and so many things to do. We had baskets with draw tickets, and I won the romantic basket. It was quite itresting to see all the people there. The King and Queen were both there, and the amount of weight they had lost to get to their goals. The King had lost 84 lbs, and the Queen 179lbs. I know that with the inspiration they gave, and my KOPS friend Joyce, I can make it, and I can get to my goal. I only have 50 lbs to get there, but I am sure that I can get there. I need the kick in the butt to get there, and to keep me on track. I hope that by putting this up here, that all my friends and family who read this, will help me keep on track. I need to cut out the snacking between meals, and making better choices when having meals. I hope to get to my goal in the next year or so.
Thanks for reading.

I know that Taylor is getting a few things that he wanted from Nanny, and of course she will have some new clothing for him, but as for what the jolly man might bring.... I havn't a clue.... Heck.. I don't know what i am going to get Jason, never mind Taylor...

school bus appreciation day

Ok, so driving a school bus isn't all that bad. On days like today, when all the students say "thank you" for taking them to and from school. It made my day! I even got cupons from one school for Tim Hortins!
Have a great day. I have TOPS tonight.

no more wedding pics

Not to worry.. I am not posting anymore wedding pics right now.
I thought I would write a bit about how I am really feeling today. I am kinda lost for words, and that isn't like me. I have had to quit my one job, and am driving school bus right now, but am sure looking for new oppertunities elsewhere. I am thankful that Jason is almost finished school. Things will be better with us both working. I know things will get better.
I am very tired these days, but I think that is because I am stressed about things.
The thought about christmas scares me. I know it isn't that far away, but it is going to creep up on us before we know it. The family will be flying back to Kenora for a few weeks. I think Taylor is looking forward to the trip. I know he wants to see his best friend Daniel. We got to see him when we were in Kenora for Candy's wedding, so I am sure we will get to see him again.
Well I should head off to my bus and get ready for the afternoon run.

Bragging rights

Well I have to brag on Susan's behalf. I was looking at our wedding pictures, and had to show you what a great job Susan did with all the cakes. I don't know where she gets her talent but she sure has lots of it!!
It was so nice to have the family involved. Dave as the best man, did wonderful things getting things ready also. And then the wee one of the family, looked soo good walking down the isle with her little basket. The family did a wonderful job. Thank you so much to the Naus family. You guys have been great friends. We will sure miss you when you move.
Love you guys.

Well, Jason has the picures up and almost ready on a different site. I would like to add some comments to the pictures before I share with you that site. For now, you will have to bear with the few that I can get up for you.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
A big thank you goes out to such a wonderful friend. Susan, thank you so much for all you did for the wedding. Thank you for the great cakes, and all the hard work you put into them!

5 days to go

With only 5 days left until our wedding, things around here are getting a bit hectic!!
It is amazing the little things that you forget when trying to get things done. Thank goodness for the great friends who are willing to help in any way possible. I have to thank Susan, and Theresa for all the offers of help! They will be taken up as soon as I get my head on straight!!
Flowers are done, and I have to remember to get someone to pick them up on saturday morning, change with the food, but its for the good, and we have someone to pick that up already. I hope that things are falling into place now.

Thursday, September 29, 2005

Well not really sure what to put for a title. Got so much on my mind, I am not sure what end is up! Still a few things left to worry about for the wedding, but I think things are slowly comming in to place. Still have to get candy kisses, pick out the music, get one more server for the salads.... and pray that my maid of honor will be able to make it here for the wedding.
I guess things are slowly comming to place.
Taylor didn't have school today. I however, had to drive bus. But thats ok.
I think I need a nap.. I am a cranky person today...

We have some pictures of the bears in Winnipeg, on Broadway Street. A picture of Taylor at the TO airport, some pictures of the girls before and durring the wedding. ... A picture of me saying... Darn it arn't we done yet...

lost in never never land

Ok so it has been a while since I last updated this wonderful blog. We have been busy with wedding preperations, and trying to get things sorted out. We have a pastor, Pastor Ian will do the wedding. Taylor wants to do two things for the wedding, walk with Julia, and walk mom down the isle. So I guess thats ok. We just have to figure out the isle. I think we might have to rent something to look like an isle, or we could just line the chairs up so it looks like it.

Taylor has been sick for a few days now. I think he caught a chill while we were in Georgetown the other night. I am sure he will get over it soon.
We leave this comming sunday for Kenora. We have a wedding to attend, then come home and finish ours and be wed two weeks after!
Have a great day!

Taylor and school

Well Taylor started school yesterday. I know, I Know, I am slow to the post. Jason took him to school in the morning, and I picked him up (a bit late). He seemed to have a good day. I still have to get him a few things for school such as inside shoes, gym clothing, a larger back pack (because they send way to much stuff home), and some "healthy" snacks. I have found that he isn't too intrested in the apple sause anymore, he use to love that stuff. I guess I will have to find a new fav.
Have a great day!

picking beans

Taylor and I were out in the garden most of the day picking beans. Taylor enjoys picking them with me. I will have to take more pictures and put them up for everyone to see. He is getting bigger, and really trying to be the independant man that he is.
Have a great night!

Pop, POP, pop

Well Taylor went outside with me today, and we picked some beets. He found some really large ones, and was soo happy with them. So after picking beets, we had to show him how to pickle them. I cleaned them up, and boiled them. Peeling them wasn't much fun, but it got done. While I was at the sink peeling them I watched two squirls on the fence. I was kind of shocked to see them work as a team, and take a pumpkin from the garden. I chased them away, and went back to peeling the beets. After I got them all cut up and ready to go, Taylor lost intrest.
We ended up with about 8 jars of beets, and there are still lots in the garden.
I hope the taste good. I have been listening to them pop and pop. I love that sound!!
Have a great day!
